Stay Home and Enjoy Omaha's Treasures

Omaha has a ton of things to offer, and most make a nice, inexpensive day.  The Henry Doorly Zoo has an Imax theater that is always showing 2 or 3 movies in 3-D.  The kids and adults love this and it makes for a great bonding time.

The Children's museum also has enough to see that you could spend the better part of the day there.  There is ConAgra Park downtown, as well.  You can go there, enjoy a nice walk and then stop at one of the many downtown Omaha food establishments.  You can find any type of food there, from inexpensive to elegant.

The Qwest Center always has something going on.  You could catch a concert or spend some time at River City Round Up later in the fall.

Omaha has some great restaraunts.  One notable one is the Kobe Steak House in Regency.  This is mid-priced, great food, and fun entertainment - you do need to make reservations if you plan on eating here and it is much more fun if you have a group of people.  They make the food in front of you in traditional Japanese style - the chefs are skilled and witty - watch out for the flying shrimp!

The point is, you don't have to go too far from home to find fun - you can find it right here in Omaha.
